MOSQUITO - STAY OUT !!

Finally, after 8 months living in our new home, the Lord has provided us with screens to put in our windows. Usually around 4 pm we would close down all the hatches(shut the windows) and pray no bugs would come in. Then when we would go to bed we would open part of the bedroom windows to get some fresh air. Well, come summer time, in a house near a lake and lots of green & trees around, the mosquitos began to buzz louder and even seemed to get bigger.

Did you know that Brazil is having a crisis of Dengue Fever? In Rio de Janeiro alone, there are 1000 new cases every day, and 50 have died already this year. Dengue is an accute fever with severe pains. When missed diagnosed and given wrong medicines, the fever can be fatal. The virus is, drum roll, passed on by mosquitos. So, another great reason to have screens. Thank you Great Grandma Neis for such a gift and another investment in the lives of your grandkid and great grandchildren.The kitchen, living room and bathroom windows are done. The bedroom windows, for being larger and with curved tops are more expensive and we hope to have them done later.
