Museu da Ipiranga

A Family outing on a Saturday afternoon to a castle... well, Anna Laura LOVED that idea. This is the home of the royal family... well, Dom Pedro and his family used this as their home in Brazil when away from their imperial house in Portugal. This is also the spot where Brazil declared it's independence - with a shout from the Ipiranga. It is now a museum fixed up with artifacts and things from Brazil and São Paulo history. No fotographs were allowed inside... sorry.

The garden has cascading pools with ornamental fish on each step.
